We probably wont do...but we CAN do.

Its also shown to work but people wanting to spend £16/20mil on Dennis when he was signed for £3mil last summer and performed for 2.5 months.

Its all about forward planning and basic mathmatics with sensible risk analysis.

If we spend LESS than £49mil weve generated from selling Richarlison then that would be childlike and braindead.

You need to have risk in investments.
You talk of sensible risk analysis whilst suggesting we spend 100million a season of money we don't have to play the U23 lottery.

There's nothing wrong with the idea, it's just flawed, massively, your scenerio only works if EVERY player we buy increases in value, every year.

No. Again its in the example.

We would need 2 out of 4 players to increase. Thats a 50% hit rate.

Plus we also have current players to sell that would generate profit based on their book values.

Wages to be moved out and new commercial deals plus a new stadium close away.

Its all rather straightforward.

Yeah it's really easy, you just need to make sure 50% of the players you buy double in value, whilst casually increasing your revenue and lowering the wage bill.

You have to wonder why every club doesn't do this.

That said we could at least try
You act like I buy all the rubbish players.

I'm all for buying good players, I would very much like us to start doing that.

And as an Everton fan under Moyes, I'm very aware of how the concept of buying low and selling high works. So I'm all for doing that.

But as I said, there's nothing sensible in spending 100m on some weird transfer Ponzi scheme.

By all means buy some Lookmans, Vlasics, DCLs, play them, sell them.

In Everton land for every DCL or Stones there's 10 Lewis Gibsons / Garbutts / Bowlers / Feeneys - take your pick.

Let's face it we aren't very good at this recruitment marlarkey and I've seen no evidence so far that Kopite Kev is any better than Brands or Walsh.

As I've said it's about getting Dennis before he goes to Watford, Bissouma before he goes to Brighton and so on.

But yes, that requires a level of scouting we haven't seen at this club since Moyes left.

Create the interest. Pope went to Newcastle so there's someone who might have thought about it. Kasper Schmeichel is 57 so Leicester might. Figure it out.

But yeah we're dumb so whatever.
A relegated team with a 60m debt to immediately pay back selling a keeper who is slightly older and not as good as pickford and only had 1 year left on his contract who was available for 10m. Of course there was interest.

If he was England's number 1 and had 3 years left and Burnley hadn't been relegated, it would have been triple that fee and he wouldn't have moved.

Watford make an absolute fortune out of us in profit, will be about £60m in the last 4 years if Dennis goes through. Think they’d be bust without us tbh.

We’ve seen no evidence he isn’t.

He’s been put in a far worse starting position than any of the others, the window has been open about 45 minutes and we’ve literally only just done the deal that will allow us to spend anything in this window.

He’ll almost certainly prove to be crap because we’re Everton but let’s have a bit of blind faith first, to make our crushing failure that bit more soul destroying.

He hasn't even appointed a head of recruitment.
