He's not a traditional wide player, he's effectively another forward (and he's even been a CF for large parts of this season).
Forwards, including wide forwards, who average 10 goals a season are not rare. Richarlison will not get much better than he is right now. He has limitations.
It could be argued that £50m would be better spent elsewhere, which is what Spurs fans are discussing. He does not represent good value for them and I think time will prove that.

I can’t escape the feeling that his play is a bit disjointed, he’s neither one thing or the other when it comes to his position and his ball retention isn’t great, these are the reasons he’s not attracted the real big hitters with this transfer.
I would prefer not to sell him but we need a reset button early in the window. There’s a lot of elbow room now in the wage bill and I will reserve overall judgement until the window closes and see how the team looks.

There are usually about 15 players who score 10 goals in a given season. But there are very few players who average 10+ a season over 5 seasons. That's what we just sold and that carries an awful lot of value.

I know the clubs been ran poorly but ultimately we are where we are because we've tried competing for the top and failed miserably.
I look at other clubs like Villa doing similiar and I can only see them being in a similiar situation to us in 2-3 years with the money they are throwing around just to finish midtable.
What you're seeing is FFP in all its glory - you either abide by it and stay in your lane like good little bhoys or you run the gauntlet and if it goes wrong we'll let the scab 6 vultures pick the bones off you.
Honestly losing interest in the whole thing - system is set up for that lot to remain unchallenged, add in 5 subs rule meaning they can stockpile even more quality on their benches I think I'll be finding a new past time the way football is heading.

One thing that we must keep in mind too is to not get caught up in the inevitable media narrative that we bought him for £50m and sold him for £50m + £10m add ons. This will no doubt be parroted because of the song that 'he only cost £50m', we bought him for £35m + add ons that were almost certainly not hit because he got less than 50 league goals for us, played less than 150 games, never played in Europe etc. I'm not sure of what they would've been but it's a safe bet that it would've been goals and achievements related, to which he wouldn't have reached. With Spurs it's probably the same with their add ons, he'll more than likely reach those though.
So yeah it's still not great of course but we've made at least a £15m profit on him, if not £25m, all while being in a terrible financial state. Don't let the media attempt to wind us up with their inevitable lies about it, it's bad enough already without that.
