It's a wonder how we survived.

As with everything - if you've not seen it before you react with fear lol Current trend for that is electric cars - they apparently ALL set themselves on fire on the daily, kill people instantly, etc.

I mean there's proof these things happen, not really that much more than regular cars, but yeah. Fearmongering works best when you're uneducated on it or it's just... new to you.

FWIW fridges do have freon in them, which is toxic... lol

….this day, 22nd June 1960 marks the anniversary of a fire in Henderson’s Department Store in Church St which resulted in deaths of 11 people.

Can’t say I remember this as I was just 3 at the time but it was clearly a tragedy.

Another maternity ward standard was a bottle of Guiness as a tonic to build you up - possibly for iron deficiency??
