The Esk and El Bobble

I'm late to the party - who are these self-styled social media EFC influencers?

I try and stay off Everton Twitter, but it seems as though El Bobble has got a network of media, agent and player contacts that provide him with information on transfers/agent relations, whereas The Esk character seems to be from a city background with a network that comprises of finance and corporate contacts, with a couple of media thrown in.

Good luck to both of them, but what I don't understand is this - why the anonymity?! It's a really odd look, especially for The Esk character. His podcasts are hit and miss - although I thought the recent takeover one was excellent - but there is a fundamental contradiction here...how do you expect to be taken seriously if you hide behind a pseudonym like a sixth-form student?!

Often his podcasts demand transparency from the club, and yet all we know about him is his first name and lots of tenuous, ambiguous references to a) what he has achieved, and b) what he knows e.g. 'I've crossed paths with John L Thornton a couple of times...' It's all a little bit attention seeking for me to take seriously.

Surely he would realise that in order to influence real change he needs to come from a much stronger position of credibility?! At the moment it smacks of a 60-year-old with the social media habits of a 16-year-old. Not to mention the constant calls for professionalism while simultaneously producing a podcast with horrendous production values.

It's just a shame as it seems like he cares about the club - and has a lot of the right ideas - but not quite brave enough to put his head above the parapet.

Best I could do that.

Yes mate, he even insults me over there and WhatsApp, hes just a big Elon Musk wannabe.

holy sh!T, that's a lot of followers. There are 11 Home and Bargains / B & M in north liverpool.
You extrapolate that by say 1000 customers per week and that's a big audience.

You seen how many are watching P.Hollywood on Saturday Kitchen these days? I'll tell you now it ain't 11k.
This kid's got balls.
