ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

That full-back of theirs Robertson said he gave his mate a ticket and the French officials said it was a fake! Something isn’t right here. It’s not simply a case of the London media narrative being correct: “All Scousers are hooligans.”

Right I have seen a lot of reports this morning and considering that a good few of these were not your Holt's, James Pearce, or the RS clan but other journos from Midlands, Chelsea, Manchester and general football journos. Im actually believing UEFA and the French police were shocking.

No im not excusing the minority of Liverpool fans who are bells but a lot of them reports of jumping over walls to 'get into the stadium' were people who had got past the first checkpoint but were still bottlenecked.

Leeds Journo

Manchester Jouno

Agreed. When even the Mail is defending northern fans you know something was amiss.

I can’t stand the RS and I’m delighted that arrogant Klippoty and his arrogant players like Alexander-Arnold lost. However, I also can’t condone women, children and the elderly being doused in pepper spray. Why the French police corralled thousands of peaceable ticket holders into a tiny area and detained them for hours is inexplicable and inexcusable. The likes of the Sun and the London media are using this as a stick with which to beat our city and I won’t support that.
Blame the thousands of ticketless rats who tried to bunk in and the ones who used fake tickets . They caused the problem not the plod . If everyone who tried to get in the ground without a proper ticket actually managed to get in then we are probably looking at another stadium disaster . Actions have consequences and innocent people suffer because of selfish rats .

It will never cease to amaze me how anything and everything they do, win or lose, generates a final wave of sycophantic press for days afterwards.

Still dominating today, many stories about how they are the best at everything from football to parades to behaviour(!). I don't remember this when Tottenham lost a ucl, or City, or utd back in the day.

Sports journalism has removed the veneer of neutrality in the Internet age, they don't care anymore because clicks are more important than authenticity and reality is in the absence of a half decent man utd it is rs that have the most customers by far to click on every inane 'dj plays song' story.

Just another example of how the principles of sporting competition have been sacrificed at the altar of money.

If this was the case, wouldn’t it be the same for Madrid fans? Train strikes and poorly blocked off roads ? Yet Madrid fans arrived without a fuss and were inside without a problem.

Another says those climbing the fences were scared and were escaping a crush ? No, then why are they legging it, dodging security to not get caught, to get up the stairs as fast as possible and into the game? Any mention of the word crush will justify that behaviour, that’s why it was used.

That’s Leeds journo… what a tool

Fine, but why were there zero problems with Madrid fans turning up with fake or no tickets?

Why was the rs side clearly chaotic inside the stadium with thousands blocking emergency stairwells? Again, Madrid side was orderly and stairwells clearly empty.

Why did rs fans Rob tickets from kids, snatching them out of their hands?

Why did 30 rs who were already coked up invade a row of seats, throwing fellow rs fans out, then proceed to snort up, right behind a Dad with his two young sons. They were bragging about bunking in.

The sons are traumatised and never want to go to a football match again - this was from the Dad himself.

But it is not rs fans to blame.
