Kenwright and DBB should have been booted the moment they suspended our sponsers with USM.

You have clubs owned by barbaric murdering regimes, human rights abusers, clubs sponsered by groups with links to terrorist sponsering yet its all good because those bad guys are friendly with "us".

If the club/boardroom had any balls they would have highlighted the hypocrisy between how we have been treated to clubs like City/Newcastle/Wolves etc.

What have City and Wolves done??

@Ant&Dec

Abu Dhabi and China?

Totally above board governance in those countries.
The lads at Fosun seem a good bunch of lads.

Unless, your suggesting that all Chinese people are "barbaric murdering regimes, human rights abusers, clubs sponsered by groups with links to terrorist sponsering"?????? Because there is a word for that my friend.

Which is exactly what the PL and UK Government have been doing suggesting that all Russian people and businesses are "barbaric murdering regimes, human rights abusers, clubs sponsered by groups with links to terrorist sponsering".

But sadly you and many of our fans lap the hypocrisy up.

The irony is Fosun for example as a Chinese Conglomerate will have much more influence from the CCP than USM will have from Putin.

But the West is in debt to China so we cant talk about that!

Actually Jack, there isnt a blanket ban on Russia and its people, there are only sanctions towards people with links to Putin.

And as I said, the boys at Fosun look like good people.

During the coronavirus pandemic of 2020, Fosun Pharmaceuticals partnered with German biotech firm Biopharmaceutical New Technologies (BioNTech)[42] to produce and distribute the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine BNT162b2. Once approved, Fosun will market the vaccine in China, and BioNTech will retain the rights to sell it internationally.[43][44][45]

Fosun was part of an alliance of Chinese companies that donated medical supplies to 23 countries during the COVID-19 pandemic.[46]

In March 2020, Fosun brought medical supplies to Milan, Italy, including 5,500 protective suits and 40,000 N95 respirator masks together with the Longfor Group and Beijing Taikiang Yicai Foundation. This donation was in addition to 5,000 masks that had been donated to Milan's municipal government earlier by Fosun.[47]

Fosun launched the Global anti-Virus Relief Scheme which created a forum for China, the US, the UK, and Portugal to share information and experience about COVID-19 in early March 2020. Several companies have also joined the effort, including Baidu, New Oriental, Xiaomi and Sequoia Capital. Fosun has distributed close to 4 million units of medical supplies around the world, including surgical masks, protective suits, and diagnostic reagents.[48]

Fosun donated medical protection supplies to South Korea in two shipments in March, 36,000 early in the month and additional 22,000 later in the month.[49] The company also donated supplies to the UK, Japan[50] and India.[51]

At the end of March 2020, the Chinese National Medical Products Administration gave Fosun Pharmaceutical emergency approval for the use of a novel coronavirus nucleic acid detection kit that it developed.[52][53]

Fosun, Haitong Securities, and the Portuguese football agency Gestifute brought 461 kilos representing 58,400 units of medical supplies to Shanghai’s sister city in Portugal, Porto at the end of March 2020.[54][55]

Fosun delivered medical supplies in several shipments during March 2020 to the city of Wolverhampton, UK, the home of the Wolves football team, which is owned by Fosun.[56]

The company donated N95 masks to New York's NYU Langone Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital as well as similar donations to hospitals in Chicago, Boston, New Jersey, California and elsewhere in the United States.[57][58] The Coalition of Asian-American IPA (CAIPA) accepted 7,000 N95 masks from Fosun, and then distributed them to hospitals throughout the New York area during March 2020.

I did say we need to move away from the whole Russia bad narrative thats being pushed, Russia isnt bad, Putin is bad and im not bigoted enough to label the whole Russian people bad cos of Putin.

And I see the hypocrisy, do you? Saying China is bad whilst you post on your phone made in China, watching your TV made in China, sitting on your couch made in China.

But China bad.

For the record I think this whole Newcastle thing stinks, it just sucked for us and Chelsea that we are owned by people who its cool to hate.

Which is great until you see the UK Government welcoming PIF buying into Newcastle - the same PIF who are the investment arm of the Saudi Government that the UK sells bombs to which they then use to blow Yemen and its people to bits with!

I haven't a problem with football cleaning its act up but we're simply a victim of complete hypocrisy with how the media were pressuring the club into cutting ties with USM because of what Putin/The Kremlin are doing in Ukraine whilst turning a blind eye to many other instances such as Newcastle/PSG/City/Wolves etc.

If Everton haven't reinstated the USM sponsers within the next 12 months then the board is not fit for purpose (which we knew already).

I dont see how you can blame the Board in this case.

We literally cant take any money from Usmanov, its really not the Boards fault.

Unless you think Bill should be able to stamp his feet and change International sanctions completely out of his control then I really dont know.

We wont ever be getting USM back, for us that ship has sailed, victim of circumstance, sadly.

I may be wrong but I dont think the sanctions would affect sponserships in the same way as "owning" something i.e. Chelsea and Abramovich.

I think us and one of the german clubs who are sponsered by Gazprom (Schalke?) suspended the sponsers rather than being forced.

And again I am fine with that if the rest of football followed suit but they wont - Newcastle will have a financial advantage over us simply because their evil owners are in bed with our government.

They'll be winning stuff whilst we get a pat on the head as we're a charity with a football club attached to it these days and nothing more.

How would that have helped anything when we literally cannot take money from USM without getting sanctioned ourselves?
