It seems like such an odd way to go about it. So they havent bid the money to activate the release clause. But have agreed terms and everything already?

So dortmund allowed them to speak with him and do medicals etc without knowing they would meet the asking price?
Was there ever any doubt that they would meet the asking price once they'd asked to talk to him?

I'm assuming it works the same in Germany as it does in Spain. If so, with a release clause, you don't bid. You have to deposit the stipulated price in the national FA with the appropriate paper work. If the player's agreeable to the move, he's yours. The FA then transfers the money to the selling club.

Yes but with wages, signing on fees, bonuses, the electricity for the treadmills, physios, passport fees, the use of hydro pool and his daily lunch all counted in, its going to be £800m over 10 years. Disgusting isnt it?
I think I worked out that Cenk Tosun has cost us around 50million so far.

So 200million for Haaland seems pretty cheap considering.

watching the RS heads fall off is incredible, they were begging Mbappe to join them last year and now City signing Haaland has ruined football, i love this game
