Question is. Will our fanbase obey the corporate advertising and let them make us call it what they want. Or are we going to call it Bramley Moore regardless of the paid for branding.

If they don’t incorporate Bramley Moore in the title then whoever pays the naming rights will have wasted their money.
Same as Marks & Spencer’s did when they renamed the Echo Arena.
Never heard one person call it anything but the echo arena.

I actually think “Bramley-Moore” is a bit of a mouthful. Not to mention the debate around the unsavouriness of the name.

“Kings Dock” would’ve been much better. I like how grand that is by default.

I think the snappiness of the sponsor is important if the name is going to stick with the fans.

“The Echo Arena,” has a ring to it, it makes it sound like a big, noisy (maybe empty) arena. I think that helps keep it going.

The Manchester Arena will always be “the M.E.N.” to many, too.

Both of those flow better than “The M&S Bank” or “The A.O.”

I doubt we’ll ever see the name now - but I can imagine a ground called “the U.S.M.”
