Burnley seem to have settled for going down. Imagine sacking your manager with no one lined up to take his place... not something any sanely run club would do is it?...

There are different ways to flip the fixtures dependent on whether you are glass half full or empty. The next game is critical as we will not be favourites to win the 3 fixtures after it and Burnley have a lovely run

Do they? They’ve still got to go to Spurs and they have to play one team that’s actually below them in the table, same as us. They may not have as many top teams left as we do, but where are you getting “lovely” from? Can any game be considered lovely for a team such as them?

I think they have a tough run in tbh. Spurs will smash them, Gerard needs points as they are sinking and Wolves and Watford are still scrapping points (top 6 and to stay up)

Plus Burnley are awful (and yes I know they beat us!)

Wednesday is a massive game I think. Turning a 1 point gap into a 6 point one in 10 days would be a really big deal. You can never rule anything out but realistically Burnley getting any more than 9 points from their last 7 would mean an unbelievable upturn in form. You’d think if we could win on Wednesday and make it 6 wins out of 8 at home under lampard then you’d have to fancy us to win at least 1 of the last 3. A loss and the momentum changes again.

When you have only won 4 games all season, one of which was gifted to you by a capitulation, there is no such thing as a decent run in.

All we need to worry about is us and getting as many points as possible in our final 8 games, 4 of which are at home where our awesome fans can get behind them and help push them over the finish line. It is all in our own hands, players and supporters.

Looking at how season has gone looks like Everton win more games and lose more games and Burnley win less games but draw more games so over next 7 games Burnley probably draw a lot of games will take Burnley 3 games to get 3 points to catch our current points level , 1 loss and win is better than 2 draws think we will win enough games they won't be able to catch us.
If we can get 2 or 3 more wins it would be very difficult for Burnley to catch us. 3 would see us safe. 2 maybe

This is exactly it now. The time for worrying about other sides is over. We have given ourselves an unexpected chance by beating United. We need to beat Leicester. If we can do that, the psychological damage inflicted on Burnley could see them subconsciously wave the white flag on Thursday. Missing a penalty when 1-0 up and losing a key player yesterday all add up as bad omens. We have them on the edge of the cliff. Time to tip them over.

I’ve gone from crapping it to being quite relaxed. Burnley have been shocking all season but I was always afraid of Dyche defying the drop. We’ve got this.

Burnley might have slightly more favourable fixtures but they haven't won two in a row all season they're draw specialists and draws aren't enough. That said we need to take advantage of our home games. Three points Wednesday is critical and if we can't win get a point. Also we seem to step up more in big games especially at home because I think the bigger team come on to us and we can actually catch them if we can stay solid. I don't fancy us in any away game so home fixtures become critical.

It’s one game at a time now, people talk about run ins but every game is winnable as it is losable. We have to focus on us, Be patient but focused and give our all mentally and physically every game. There’ll be a ups and downs but we have it in our hands to see the job through.
