Dyche sacked

Don’t they have new American owners??
Jesse March part 2?
The whole staff has gone as well. Someone is lined up.
It'll be interesting who they bring in and whether they'll be able to get a tune out of their players because let's be honest the squad is pretty rubbish.

The fact that Dyche has kept them in the league for so long with the budget available is testament to his success; I'd have expected them to get promoted again too.

I read elsewhere that this could be a Stoke and Pulis moment - the short-sighted removed of the person who'd brought such success.

This looks like sheer panic on the part of the owners and is probably driven by fears of the financial impact of relegation as much as the footballing effect. It seems the American takeover was highly leveraged and used Burnley's existing assets as a way of raising funds - probably at high interest rates also. If they go down they will in all likelihood go bust if they don't come straight up and lose parachute payments.

I have no idea about finances but how does one buy a club using the club's own money?

It's like me going to the corner shop, grabbing a Snickers and saying you can pay for that from the till.
I'm not well up on it either but I guess it's like the way you buy a house and the property serves as the guarantee.

It's probably way more complicated. Or at least I'd hope it is.

Got a mate from Burnley. He says it’s well known in the area that Dyche likes to park in super market car parks with the heating up full whack and the windows closed and repeated ‘pass wind’
The ‘Burnley Hotboxer’ they call him in Morrisons.

That’s ripe that.
