….hard to think West Ham playing a massive game on a Thursday night is anything but a disadvantage to Sunday’s match v Burnley. i noticed Moyes saying they have injury issues, it’s going to be a nervous 90mins.
Come on Moyesy

I am not sure Burnley have the tools to hurt them too much.
Hopefully I am right.

Also how do I explain to the wife that I am watching West ham v Burnley on Easter Sunday afternoon?!

The depressing thing watching West ham tonight in Europe is how average they are. It's shameful we are looking to nick points off the likes of them and Leicester while we are fourth bottom. We should be a dangerous European team like Atalanta or Villarreal at a minimum given our larger fan base and resources. Missed opportunities and narrow minded thinking ?
Still would be fine if Real didn't fire Zidane and swipe Carlo back

Different scenario.

West Ham’s best chance of European football next season is through the league. Moyes isn’t the type of manager to let them relax either.
With barcelona out, for me they are the strong favourites to win the europa league and qualify this way for the champions league...no real chance to qualify for them through the league and so I strongly suspect that this will be now their priority which is not good news for Sunday...let's hope that moyes still has a soft spot for us and go with a strong team against Burnley.

Leipzig are heavy favourites with the bookies and they have to play Frankfurt first who just knocked out Barcelona at their own stadium so really not sure they can be classed as strong favourites.

There is no chance Moyes will let them slack off in the league.

Leicester could be running on fumes by the time we play them away. They’ve got midweek/weekend games every week before we play them. Picking up a win, or even a couple of draws, away from Goodison would lift some of the pressure on the last home games v Palace and Brentford.

If they'd lost I would agree, but I think they will carry momentum into the game. We used to win a lot of our league games at Goodison after a European match when Moyes was our manager.

Not buying the “don’t worry about other teams it’s in our hands” lines, I don’t trust this lot one bit to do it all by themselves.

Cheering on Brentford and West Ham this weekend. A win against Leicester is then huge, and I reckon we’ll get it. It’s the away games where I don’t see us getting another point all season. Watford will do to us just what Burnley did, nothing at Anfield, and Leicester will be knackered and play crap but we’ll make mistakes and gift it to them anyway. And forget about last day of the season at Arsenal, if we’re not safe then, we’re doomed.

There's a common denomination between us and ham. And what we were and what they are now. And the only thing that's different about it is the colour red to grey.
