Done an underrated job. Very difficult to compete with other academies in the North West. I doubt loads of players are coming to start flowing through to the first team now that he has left like some people seem to suggest.

He wasn't as bad as some made out but he was still bad towards the end. God knows where he ends up but I wouldn't be against loaning him some players

I am happy he has gone, I don’t doubt he loves the club but I think he has fallen into a trap of thinking the ultimate goal is to win youth competitions or do well at youth level.

Personally, I couldn’t care less if we never win a youth trophy again if the first team has a set of players who can play in the same manner as the first team so they can slot in if needed. Let’s face it, our injury history suggests we need a solid backup of youth players who can slot in at a moments notice.
