It's not about Lampard, it's about Everton.

In an existential crisis like this I'd throw anyone to the wolves in order to try and survive.

Any Evertonian would.
It’s spot on. That was a big game for Lampard today, and FairPlay to him - got the selections spot on and we deserved to win. Also the players all seem to like him tbf.

I wouldn’t have been at all surprised if Moshiri would have pulled the plug if we had lost today, in the hope that someone else would get us a bounce.

Surviving this season is the only important thing.

Time to update the thread title @Daveysgingerlovechild with the Leicester game and see how many votes he still gets beforehand.

We're still in a scrap so I'd image at least 50% of the 75 who voted that a change should be made if we lost today, would say the same

On another note, it doesn't seem that any senior players briefed the press before Burnley regarding Lampard as mentioned by Esk after the match on Wednesday so we'll pop that in with his ever growing folder of bull he's managed accumulate over the years.

Personally I'd just close the thread now. There'll be some other round of rumour and agitation soon enough, which is usually all my naff polls ever try to capture.

It's a good thread mate. Change the title and see if he's bought himself 2 games or if people think he should be sacked if we lose against Leicester and try and get a bounce against that shower of meffs

Jesus, do we ever learn?

Sack a manager, leave the new manager with a hotch-potch of poor, underperforming players, get a few more bad results, sack the manager and get a new manager. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat.

This Club needs one thing that it hasn't had since the ginger one was here. Stability.

We've chopped and changed DoF's and are left with their splash-the-cash-on-crap legacy. We've chopped and changed managers and are left with a cocktail of has-beens, never-have beens and never will-be's.

We now have a manager who in his football life has been a serial winner. I know the argument about great players not making great managers but theres plenty of examples to support the opposite. Frank is a football man, he's passionate and he's not afraid to call it like it is. We've tried old heads, big heads, nice heads and gravy-slurping dinosaurs - this is an appointment to stick with along with the new DoF.

Keep changing and the broth gets more rancid. The players get a free ride with every appointment, as do the Board. It's time we sided with the 'football' people in the structure, give them control and see if they can make us a stable, consistent Club again. Thereafter, let them take us to the next level.

I'd give the manager a guarantee that he see's out his contract irrespective of the position at the end of the season. Allow him to clear the cess-pit of all the floaters, flush the pan and start a bright new era for Everton Football Club.

Lets see if there's a shift. I wouldn't even say if he loses 2 games either. I'd just say if he loses to Leicester, do people think a change needs to be made before the Derby.

The fella is absolutely busting a gut to get us out of this hole. It's a time for strong hearts and minds.

We can survive.
We WILL survive!
I would be gutted if we contrive to lose to Leicester after yesterday. Good test of his motivational powers and preparation.
