Getting out of hand this now tho. Gonna need to own both PS and Xbox/PC to be able to play all games now.
I usually own all of them anyway but it’s getting more expensive isn’t it. £70 games !

A man of good tastebought a year of that PlayStation Now because of the new tiered service they're introducing in June.
same old, auld games, streaming even older games that look like dog crap.
Death Stranding and Returnal I do actually want to play though.
Not like it's a triple price from how it's always been though?I usually own all of them anyway but it’s getting more expensive isn’t it. £70 games !

I mean yeah but they've cost more or less the same for about 40-50 years at this point, and if you adjust for inflation - even more.I meant in relation to everything else and what they cost especially now.

It's not a new phenomenon, realistically. Not saying it's good - with how widespread technology is becoming you'd expect the opposite to happen, but...
Mate I haven't bought a physical copy of a game for about 15 years lol Only exception for me is honestly Diablo 3, but as I preordered it - I basically got a box with a digital key and other goodies, no CD's or anything, as I don't actually have a CD drive on my PC, haven't had in ages. No point.I know mate, I remember Street Fighter 2 on the SNES being the first cartridge to cost over £60. With the AAA studios and development costs I wouldn’t be surprised if by next generation there is a full on push towards digital and cutting the production costs of physical releases

Bought nephews Horizon: Zero Dawn (for PS) a year or two ago and felt weird tbh. lol
I like the option they give right now to be honest - if we both love the same IP/franchise, you can get the physical copy (and/or stuff that comes with it), whereas I can get the digital one with the same/similar/other goodies. It gives you decent options about something that you're shelling a good amount of your own money for. Provided you have no microtransactions afterwards of course, but that's a different story....Look at the success of Steam, the consoles will eventually go that route and of course streaming/cloud . Personally I like some physical releases particularly for IPs I really like and I always like a good box art.

I have the original on my xbox live arcade account, and it is amazing that the atmosphere the game generates still holds up today! One of my all time favourite game series. So happy to see this announcement.
