some People on here are deluded. It was my opinion he was a terrible choice, because he is inexperienced, a bad coach and can’t get his team to defend. But nah, on here you are accused of being a RS if you don’t buy into the hive mind.

he is inexperienced and will be learning on the job - which is terrible timing for us considering we need the business now. That said, these players are an absolute disgrace. It was never about Rafael, the past 6 managers. It’s these players, they are all crap with terrible mentality.
Christ give it a rest..

The most disappointing thing about tonight's preformance was that once again our squad of players showed that they don't give a toss about the fans or who the manager is. The only hope the club have is that the Board who have allowed the club to fall so far is revamped, Moshiri has loads more money to throw at players and Frank can keep us it the Premiership and then get rid of about 15 of our squad and replace them. The club is a complete basket case from top to bottom and requires gutting out at all levels.

Players not good enough for Everton Football Club currently

Coleman - past his best but great servant
Kenny - severely limited
Keane - awful
Mina - injured
Holgate - has never kicked on
Iwobi - dreadful
Gomes - consistently crap
Davies - limited
Delph - injured
Tosun - crap
Rondon - not a footballer

That's 11 footballers who have all been given more minutes than any of them should have been given and about 5 of them we are massively relying on them game after game. That's nearly half of the first team, week in week out, with players whi shouldn't be anywhere near this club, let alone getting playing time.

Crazy.

No idea what the thinking was changing Gray for Dele, Completely different players and made Evertons game plan completely muddled and allowed one of their full backs to push on knowing there was no threat in behind. Dele was an absolute mile off, sometimes it happens. He shouldn’t be near the team at the moment judging by that performance. The other tactical changes, van de beek especially, was also very strange and seemed to be purely to give him some minutes while conceding that the result was gone. Please learn from this Frank, Newcastle are woeful and they’ve just beaten us easily. I hope the experienced back room staff will be involved in the autopsy
If you actually took notice when Gray went off he put Richy in Grays position and Delli went central.
Hence Richy looking pissed off and sulking.
The system didnt change.

My point still stands.

I'm not saying Frank's tactics are wrong.

I also want to see us play put from the back.

I'm judging if it's right to attempt to do it at this point in the season with incompetent players.
The only way we may be able to win some games is to start working the ball and move teams around. We can't counter attack teams that play a low block (which our relegation rivals will when they play us). We can't punt it long because the ball just comes straight back. And if you do play either of those systems you certainly need a solid defence - which we in no way have.

So we are going to have to start learning. The lack of defensive reinforcements and the state we are currently in means it may be too late.
What did pickford do to wind then up?
Taking ages to play the ball. Time wasting early on, gurning at them etc. Just no need. The atmosphere was already going to be charged; we don't need him stoking it up. He does it every time against Newcastle and just needs to play it as a normal game.

He also played some bizarre balls in the opening period too that made things harder for our players. He should have started calmly.

Dele was withdrawn and not playing on the last man, Richarlison doesn’t have the pace that Gray has to negate their full back bombing forward. If you actually took notice, how many minutes did Dele central and Richarlison wide last? 3 Minutes? I’d love to know.

He should never be picked for Newcastle away. He is far too immature to play the game.

For me I can't bring any heat on frank for tonight at this point, Myko late drop out, Godfrey injured last week, most competent and resilient CB for this type of fixture and most in form attacker injured within first 30 mins of the game, always an exciting game for pickford, Ali rusty as hell, I believe Voldamort should of seen red also, he's had days only with the squad at this point, can't undo months of absolute horror shows in a few days, will take a while to un-fk us.

Players bottled yet another high pressure/important game and couldn't handle the atmosphere either. I'd personally give Lampard a month before criticising tactics and subs.

With maybe no
Mina and Godfrey and not a natural defensive midfielder, we need to really go for it at home. We have 6 potentially winnable games, not easy but winnable. Leeds, Leicester. Palace, wolves, Brentford,
Newcastle. And 4 away, though with our away from That’s asking a lot, Leicester, Burnley, Southampton. Watford.
We will need 5 wins an a couple of draws I would say.

Law of averages say we probably get something in one ir two of
Our remaining tough games. 36/37 points will definitely keep us up imo.

I would basically just go for it now in them
10 games, we can’t defend, so may as well try and out score teams.

Pickford. Patterson, Holgate & Keane till mina
And Godfrey are back, Mykolenko.
Allan, VDB, Ali
Gordon DCL Richarlison. Gray back in when fit for who ? But let’s just attack teams, especially at home,
Starting on Saturday

Delli was central
Only trouble is he was dropping way too deep.
At no point did Delli replace Gray.
Well he did you know. You have also just said the system didn’t change yet Dele was deeper than Richarlison…. I’m now beginning to understand how some of these £70m posters get so high. I wish I was high tbf. Peace and love to you Louie.

Taking a positive from the performance.

Theres an opportunity now for Lampard to pick a new team without any players heads falling off and any complaints about being dropped.

Hes got to go with Branthwaite, Patterson, VDB, Onyango, Alli and other players to refresh and energise the team.

Having Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Gomes, Townsend all starting together is a recipe for disaster.

Lets hope hes learned from this.
