I reckon the manager was in his ear as early as Friday mate. The London football scene is no different to the North West one; everyone knows everyone. Or know someone who knows someone.

The player was getting nothing on the pitch with Conte, and the manager knew that, imo.

Everton have played a blinder on this. Constructed so that they have nothing to pay this season to keep in line with ffp, then a small amount next season and so on. They cannot lose either way, if he is crap he costs virtually nothing and if he is boss then he will be worth every penny of whatever they end up paying.

This is my view on it too - to be fair though today’s the most positive I’ve felt about Everton in a long time
