It absolutely will. And because he’s a public figure with a lot of fans he will get a lot of sympathy.

I just don’t think sexual assault and rape is taken anywhere near as seriously enough as it should be in this country. The rate of convictions under the tories is heinous.
I hate the Tories but not sure this is just on them tbh.

This really got me this morning.

My daughter has just escaped a 3 year abusive relationship, she wouldn’t go to the police and there’s nothing I could do. He’s a massive bloke, ex squaddie.
She finally built up the courage to walk and is now back home with us.
Glad it's moving in the right direction, mate. My heart goes out to your family. Feckin' awful situation!!!

Should've introduced him to a baseball bat mate.

I've never heard of an injunction granted to prevent reporting of a criminal offence, never mind a serious criminal offence - and even if it was given, the outrage over it would probably result (as we saw with Trafigura) in an MP reading the report out in the Commons anyway.

No idea what has happened in this case, though I would genuinely be amazed if she has reported that and nothing has been done (at a minimum one would think once that allegation has been made and they've seen that evidence that he would have been arrested).

As for the media personally I think if its true they've sat on this for months its probably for the same reason they sit on loads of other information; its potential use to them (I mean this sort of coercive pressure is probably how a lot of the ITK info from the dressing room gets to the papers in the first place). As Leveson showed they've got extensive form for obtaining information by means most would consider foul (or illegal) and this would fit in, I think.

Finally (if it is true they sat on this) then the largely negative coverage of Rashford in the right-wing press really needs to be looked at again; imagine slating someone for taking a principled stand on feeding kids when you've also been keeping this quiet.

Ok maybe not an injunction but there is a reason the likes of the scum dont print this. If the papers knew then you can guarantee the club did. They maybe tried to get him counselling, talk to him etc but you bet they wouldnt want this put out there as it could cost them £££.

To me the fact that this girl has had the guts to put this on social media after a year or longer suggests she feels she has no other choice

If Greenwood played for Liverpool she would get getting stick now and they would be defending him

Suggestions in a tweet from a long time ago that says Greenwood has a serious domestic situation the papers are holding onto, also mentions a Liverpool player.

Lets face it, there are probably loads. Bissouma still under investigation isnt he? Robinho just got done.

I hate the RS as much as anyone and they certainly have a loose grip on the meaning of ethics but I don't think they would stick up for one of their own if they were assaulting women .
Biting other players indeed .
