Bad bad nobhead you lad.

If she went straight to the police it would be right in his (presumably very good) lawyers hands, she’s done absolutely the correct thing here considering the power these kind of people wield.

I hope none of the female members of your family are raped and beaten up ?
Without trying to defend the original poster or disagree with what you and others have said, it was prudent for the post to be removed from social media.

It shouldn't stop any future proceedings from taking place, but lawyers will obviously always try the line of suggesting any suspect would not get a fair trial.

It's one of those situations where there is a valid argument for both sides of the debate, which ultimately do not negate the other side.

Absolutely disgusting this, couldnt even listen to the full audio. Victim blaming already in full force on social media I see

Considering this is the same club that lays on the VIP treatment to one of their former players who has an ongoing domestic abuse lawsuit, and brought back another former player who has some...questionable....allegations seemingly paid off and swept under the carpet - I think United need to take a really hard line on this for their own sakes as much as anything else.

Greenwood was allegedly fragile before all this due to the suicide of his close friend. It was one of the reasons that Rangnick brought in a team of Sports Psychologists when he arrived. His career at Manchester United is surely over but MUFC will also be alert to being accused of abandoning a suffering young player that came through their academy too. If MG says sorry, the club will almost certainly send him out on loan for a year or two.

Fans will not forget but he is also not the first Footballer to do wrong and continued their career. He is 20, he needs to acknowledge his wrongs, pay for the damages caused and learn from this. If he does this, he could get back on track. Part of his rehab in years to come will be forgiving himself and focusing on his career again, probably in another country. Lots of tough lessons for him to come.

So just to clarify my friend should have created a Snapchat account before or after getting abused?

Absolutely wrong this. There is only one way Greenwood and her gets the justice they deserve, and that’s via the police and the courts. If he’s done this, it’s prison for a good while and probably a good chance of his career ending.

Going via the media / publicity route will by itself just result in outrage on Twitter, the endorsements stopping, fan chants mentioning it and some no doubt misleading softball interview where he denies everything but admits he has a problem (or that he doesn’t sweat).

You talk about the powerful but if you or I ever did what he is claimed to have done we’d never get off with a trial by media. The seriousness of what is alleged demands an actual trial.

Says a lot about todays culture that nearly all the stuff i have read, which to be fair was only a few minutes worth, was all about HIS career. HIM ruining deals he may have. HIM damaging Man Utd....
Right there is part of the problem itslef.

The only reason that millions are discussing this is because of who it is. The bulk of the discussion will be about MG and consequences for him. It does not mean that the sadness or support for the girl is not there. It is. She will be heard too. When a young female is assaulted violently, it is human nature to have sympathy. She has been brave to come forward. Idiots will probably have already contacted her to attack her credibility.

Dont care how 'fragile' he is or how he may be siffering from PTSD, he's physically abusing this young girl and raping her. As others have said, for her to knowingly record it, its obvious that its not a one off.

Send him out on loan? He should be in jail for a few years.
