Would be a big risk defensively playing both Gordon and Patterson on the same flank imo - Patterson is going to need an experienced player ahead of him who helps out defensively / shields him for a few months whilst he gets to grips with the PL imo.

Townie is that type of player who'll look after him on the pitch you feel.

Not exactly going to be a long line of clubs for the likes of Gbamin, Iwobi, Davies, Holgate. Maybe a couple of takers for Allan, Gomes, Keane.

Plus, they might all be perfectly content to sit pretty on their current deals and move on a free in a year or two when it best suits their interest.

Unbelievable how many fringe/hopeful World Cup players look to be staying at their clubs and getting no game time. I thought we’d be able to get 2-3 quality players who were hoping to play their way on to the plane to Qatar. Am I missing something?

We're only half way through the window, there may well be one or two more coming in who hope to get themselves in the WC window. Of course, let's not pretend all players care about a winter WC in the desert for a few weeks; they might be far more interested in staying put on their current deals at current clubs, nice and comfortable, so they can negotiate the best possible deal for themselves a year or so down the line.

Well it’s not is; reported that Moshiri signed Iwobi that Brands was against, also he recommended Godfrey on loan due to our financial issues yet Moshiri pressed ahead with the signing

Dele? I like him, but he is not the same player anymore. His main issue is not his ability, but his motivation. Gray comes in with a determination to prove himself, not sure if Dele is at the same level.

I find it odd when I keep reading that we needed sell xy and z player this window. We've been trying to move most of them for ages, with no luck. Why would this month be any different.

If we move players this window they will probably be players who are amongst our few good ones.
