No, @davek was mistakenly giving all the credit for signing Gray, Townsend, and El Ghazi for 2 million to Benitez.

Despite that fact that the first two were signed and negotiated by Brands and Benitez himself last week said he isn't negotiating the transfers....

I'm not upset about the deal I'm just saying I can see why some might be concerned for Gordon's playtime that's all.

Yeah that's cool. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. I would just rather have el kaki on the bench as an option as opposed to our 3rd choice keeper if we need a goal. Obviously if he hinders Gordon's progress it's a problem but I don't think that's likely personally

Benitez himself said he isn't negotiating the deals you melt.

Benitez might have rang him to see if he was interested but it was Brands who negotiated the fee and contract and it's Kenwright who has done this for us in January according to both Benitez and the Rangers CEO.
