The answer is never to add poor players for the sake of it though that’s how we’ve ended up with a squad of tosh on silly money that we can’t give away

The answer is never to spend big money on Walcott, Tosun, Iwobi etc. Tosun and Iwobi in particular I was very critical about. We spent a few bob on an interim manager in Allardyce and a DOF on borrowed time - we can't be doing that again.

Sometimes you have to play the hand you have - if we've got no money to spend, then a temporary loan for a young player who could give us something off the bench who scored 10 league goals last season isn't worth the meltdown.

If we have money, it's perhaps not wise to give it to a manager who could be sacked in a fortnight.

So Everton sell one of their best players to a direct rival - ergo gaining a valuable sum of money to allow us to buy players in 2 essential parts of the field we are lacking (CB and CM)

Instead of focusing on those positions, we decide to again assist our direct rival by taking one of their unwanted players - in the one position of the field we're most adequately covered - and also directly blocking the path of one of our own players (Gordon) who has only recently found his feet within the team.

Sounds like Peak Everton to me

Um, sorry to spoil the fume. Kia Joorabchian is Sports Invest UK and Anwar el Ghazi is not their client.

El Ghazi registers Gestifute as his representatives - Jorge Mendes - is the main man there.

Hopefully this helps stops this nonsense about Moshiri wanting him, Benitez stopping it three times and murky agents whispering in owner's ears.

It's nonsense, we have plenty of valid things to fume over, kicking the tyres on a potential loan deal is not one of them.

Final point, while I am ranting, Villa are far more likely to be looking to drive a market for a player they want rid of, right now, we're the easy connection to make because of the Digne deal happening at the same time.

This has been covered, he's working as an intermediary.

You don’t know that we’re not focusing on CB and CM though mate.

A lack of gossip doesn’t equate to a lack of movement, in the same way that we don’t sign every player we’re linked with.

Spot on, I seen all the fume on twitter and here and personally don’t know that much about the player. I looked at his stats and he had a good return on goals last season compared to what we have. We haven’t got enough scoring goals outside of the main 4
