Another record breaking?

Key to winning this tie is not overestimating the capabilities of City. They've picked up of late but they're still pretty dire. If we start by giving them too much credit we're doomed. This is why I say play the youngsters who will be used to playing city's style which is pretty much hoof into space and run. I'm going for victory by three goals. I'll revise that when I see the team.

Team news will be interesting. I think we have already had 'peak Benitez' with him playing our second choice right back at right back, our first choice right back at left back, and leaving our first choice left back on the bench - but there might be some more creative magic today.
I've got 50p on JonJo Kenny being in goal and Begovic up front. (The injuries mean poor Rafael's hands are tied......)

The fact that there are large sections of our support worried about this going the wrong way is an indication of how bad things have got recently.

That being said, I just cannot see us losing this based on the players we do have available. I would be going full strength if I were Benitez. Yes, we play on Tuesday but the lads had no games for a long time over Christmas so I think we need to get some sharpness back today so we can come our swinging on Tuesday against a Leicester team who seem vulnerable this year and at the minute especially with their problems.

Ratboy Vardy is out until at least March so that’s a small consolation I suppose

Lose today and either or both of Leicester and Norwich, then I don’t believe he will be Everton manager after Monday week.
He could lose all 3 and I think we'd still be stuck with him. Surely Mosh would have fired him by now if he was going to. I can't see him booting the DOF, letting the best part of £35m be spent on 2 new players, letting him boot out Digne, and then sacking him 5 minutes later. Rafael is Moshiri's man. Unless we're in the bottom 3 Moshiri wont rock the boat. I doubt he cares whether we're 14th or 17th so long as we're still in the Prem.

I hope we see the new fullbacks. I always enjoy seeing new players first games. That moment when patterns of play are different to what we usually see is always enjoyable.

Shake it baby! We gonna win. I hope Rondon starts. Rondon scores when he wants, wich, admitedly, isnt a lot of the time but he does have a huge, huge male reproductive organ with wich to scare those Hull boys, or give them something to dream about. UP AND AHEAD! MANLY WE STAND! Hull 0 - 5 EVERTON!!

Just need the team to turn up with same attitude they had at chelsea. Again the fans will travel again today , do hope we get see both new fb and they show what we have missed

I am all set for the game, my pre-match preparation has gone well. Bit of a late morning, coffee in bed. Up and made Mrs C a bacon sandwich, browny points on the board. Have put a bottle of wine into the fridge for her. Have tins of draught Guinness also in fridge. I have a bottle of Kilbeggan whiskey, in case of emergencies.
Log burner all set and ready to go, basket full of logs for tonight. Mrs C is making curry, with home baked naan bread and she is pickling cucumber. Before anyone asks “I know I’m punching above my weight”; besides Mrs C tells me on a regular basis.
So what could go wrong?

Not sure what to make of this game. Possibly the most entertaining part will be the release of the team sheet which I suspect will be a head scratcher

I feel like this post should be used in some sort of anti-drug campaign........ ?

Wasn't that long ago we were knocked out of a cup by QPR.
The cameras are there for the shock no doubt.
Not a shock for those watching Everton every week.

Depends if our players turn up or not.
Play the kids!
