So what?

He's our player, he was on the bench, he's available. We need points.

So what? Its obvious.

He was on the bench lol do me a favour...

Youre posting over and over again about how you want Mykolenko AND Digne in the squad while missing that...

...we likely need to sell Digne to pay for Mykolenko.

Then youre blaming Benitez for that lol

Now youre blaming him for not playing someone who will likely be sold to bring in two players knowing that its dangerous to risk an injury.

What would you choose...

A: Keep Digne and make no signings.

B: Sell Digne and bring in Mykolenko + Patterson and perhaps more?

Zatman.

We did not need Mykolenko until the Digne situation spiralled out of control. However, I know that we need to sell a player (likely Digne) to pay for those players. That's fine. It is what it is. I accept that.

But right now, the only left-back available to play is Lucas Digne. He was in the squad the other day, therefore he was available, and Benitez cut his nose off to spite his face by not playing him. He actually played Seamus Coleman, who cannot play at right-back anymore, at left wing-back. There is no defence of that.

We need points urgently. We are in real danger of getting dragged into a relegation scrap. Forgive me if a 22-year-old from the Ukrainian league who hasn't played in over a month, and a Rangers back-up player with less than 30 senior games under his belt, don't fill me with confidence.

All of that is irrelevant though to what happened on Sunday, which was ridiculous.

Ostracising Digne does absolutely nothing to help us get a decent deal for him.

Lads, you play your players while they are here.

Digne could have got injured in the warm up the other day. If there was a deal lined up (there isn't, btw, it's all just interest atm) then you don't put the player in the squad. Simples.

Benitez did it to prove a point. That he was the boss and no fan will ever be able to tell him otherwise.

He has contributed massively to us being in a relegation battle. Because right now we are, do not think otherwise. We need three wins and quick to avoid one. We've won two games in 3 1/2 months.

See in bold...you accept we sell Digne to bring in funds to sign new players.

But you dont accept that we cant risk Digne sustaining an injury meaning he cant be sold.

He was surely only on the bench for show.

I dont expect him to get a second on the pitch.

That tenuous tweet is more evidence than you have EVER presented, for any of your "rumours", in your entire posting history on this forum.

The irony, and the fact that it appears lost on you, is staggering.

I even gave them some 'inside info' on Keane but they chose not to post.

Jokes on them now eh lol

But... but... Holgate played the other day.

See where your logic falls down, Zat?

Kenny is available for sale. Holgate is available. Both played.
We wouldn’t get a bowl of soup for Kenny. And even if there is interest in Holgate from
Burnley, it may have come to
Light in the last few days. So why wouldn’t he not play him if we need him.
Digne is a different issue, he’s fallen out with the manager.

What players have we signed this window to replace them?

If it was a club decision he wouldn't have been on the bench. He was on the bench because the club had not made him unavailable for selection but the manager decided not to pick him.
