I might be wrong but by my calculation there have only been 5 3PM kickoffs on Saturdays at GP in the entire calendar year and one of those was against Rotherham. Footie has changed a bit over the years.

Same old same old whines. Clubs, including our own, are more than happy to take the big bucks off the tv companies so of course they're going to call the shots.

If we are on tv a lot cryarsers are moaning about the lack off Saturday 3pms, yet if we aren't picked for tv fans are saying it's down to Sky and BT Sport hating us, lack of tv appearances is costing us cash, and they're biased towards the RS, the Mancs etc.

If Blues are expecting most of our games to be played at 3pm on a Saturday then prepare to be disappointed, those days ended in 1992.

Obviously, any time is ok for you to get to matches. I've lost the costs of flights (or had to wait and pay more expensive prices) because of fixture switches. Sorry for cryarsing though. Happy New Year. (PS never cryarsed about not being on Sky enough)

It's still for the fans, just not the ones sat in the stadium. There's more money in the hundreds of thousands sitting in their armchair than the tens of thousands in the stands.
As it's the same everywhere. They don't care about the actual match going fans. The ones who describe to expensive tv packages are the ones that count. It's modern football.

Yeah, the idea of a European Super League wouldn't even get off the ground if they cared about match going fans.

But as you'll see with boxing and the darts, there's a tonne of money to be made by leaning into the 'casuals' market, rather than just serving the hardcore fans. Football's version of that is kick off times that serve casuals/ neutrals/ overseas fans. And if the sport can pull it off, it'll be a super league with all the biggest clubs in the world playing each other all year round.

It's just the way it is now mate and has been for the last 29 years. The tv companies put massive amounts of cash into the sport so of course they're going to move games around for what they see fit. It won't be changing anytime soon as long as the clubs are happy to take the money.

Yep, it's easy for me to get to games but hardly my fault I happened to be born on Merseyside. Happy new year to you as well.

I used to like football.
Hate it now.

Thanks for that Everton
Not really Everton, football in general has become dull, between FFP, VAR the obscene money players get, ridiculous transfer fees, the constant succession of games there's no break from it on TV it's gotten boring also intrest diminishes as you get older. I used to watch loads, now I just watch Everton and Ireland and I not overly arsed with Ireland these days either.

The more times we are televised the more cash our club gets. Lets face it, we need every penny with the farcical FFP. The more we are on tv the better. Don't see what this big whinging is about. After 29 years you'd think fans would be used to it by now.
