ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

What I'm trying to say is that having such an intense fixture buildup is entirely avoidable and it would do a huge favor to the players if they were given a schedule conducive to their safety, the world will still function if you allow footballers more rest during the festive period. You can't avoid having a nurse working 40+ hours a week because of shortages or avoid police officers doing shifts at night.

Career ending injuries can very well happen. Footballers in recent times have been worked to the extreme. There's more international games now and the game has evolved to the point where the intensity and work rate is so much different to how the game was a decade ago.
What happened to the old saying of I'd rather play than train?

I am sick to death of hearing Hendo the self appointed voice of reason whinging on about nobody cares about players health, they get 100s of thousands of pounds a week and the best medical treatment money can buy. If you don't like it get a proper job on a zero hours contract for minimum wage dealing with the general public who get in a strop because a shop has run out of cranberry sauce
it's bought in you fkn morons the staff don't make it in a kitchen at the back of the shop.

Happy fkn Christmas all
Utter scum the general public aren't they

Football at Christmas has been a tradition going back over a century, if the modern player can’t hack playing 2 games in 3 days then frankly they shouldn’t be playing period

Sick to death of ‘customers’ trying to dictate how football should be played here, don’t change what isn’t broken

So your reasoning is tradition? Going back a century ago, hanging homosexuals to death was also a tradition as well, do you think that should be carried on?

Imagine these modern players playing in the days the days when footy was played no matter what, snow, crap muddy pitches etc.
