It really comes down now to the level of ambition that Iwobi shows.

In the middle of a crippling injury crisis he still did not start in every game and certainly has now been passed by Gordon and with any luck we may even make a signing in January for the wide positions.

He is very much a squad player now and if he is unhappy about that then there is really only one thing he can do.... move clubs.
Yes he looked unhappy as hell when he got on that private plane in the summer, god i felt sorry for him and i bet there was nobody on the plane waiting for him.

Do you think he was the only professional footballer to get a private plane, if you earn 60k plus per week that becomes your expected mode of travel.

Iwobi is not to be compared with the average person, don't make the mistake in thinking that being able to afford nice things is enough for somebody who has been successful at everything he has done since he was a boy.

These Premiership players are the cream of the crop with egos to match.
Iwobi will feel he should play every game and will be unhappy not to do so.

He will be ambitious to do well and if an opportunity to leave and go someplace where he can every week then he will take that opportunity but certainly he will not accept a substantial wage cut and that is where we may have a problem.

Barca spending money they don't have and here we are worrying scrimping and saving. I don't think FFP or PL sustainability rules would hold up i really don't, if the owner has the money, should be allowed to spend, like the two clubs who currently win most things, how messed up is that.

With a new stadium any excuse will do.

Barca have just spent a long period scrimping and saving and making massive cuts to their squad including arguably their greatest ever player and the best player in the world. Desperately getting huge and fairly recent signings such as Griezmann and Pjanic off the books on loan as well.

The Torres deal could be structured in any number of ways over who knows how long to make it viable. They haven't just splashed £55M in one go and it doesn't indicate any spending of money they don't (or won't) have or that they are riding roughshod over sustainability or FFP rules.

They've had to considerably tighten their belts and get some breathing space before going back into the market. Their financial behaviour over the last year or so shows that clear as day.

Unliked James who looked made up on his and was so happy to not have to play for Everton anymore

Feel a bit for players like him. It’s not his fault he’s not up to it. Not easy struggling for form for so long either….
Thats it, its not like he asked us to buy him, Moshiri went to Arsenal. Reminds me of when he went to Watford for Silva, total headcase, he has gone from having zero input at Arsenal under Kronke to having too much at Everton with nobody strong enough to tell him to back off and leave football decisions to football people

Sometimes it is their fault. Players get comfortable after big paydays and lose their focus and desire. Not saying that happened here, but you never know what his commitment to the sport and the club is like.

Was reading that Barca have taken out a massive loan and can't register Torres because his wages added to the club wage bill will break Spanish league rules so they have to get players off the books first.
