As we can see from the poll the vast majority want him gone.

And who can blame them?

Picking fights with his own players probably as a reaction to poor results - if we were top 6 would we be selling Digne for example ?

I say no.

This is a man who has lost all grip on the situation - he knows it, which is why he’s lashing out.

This so called clean sweep is a reflection of his own failures as a manager now being dressed up as some kind of necessary revolution.

How much lower can we allow this club to be dragged on the back of this man’s failings?

Out!

It's ultimately a results business

Problem is that he isn't getting them right now

If he gets them I won't be that arsed about the type of football we're playing

I ask very little from Everton to be honest

I simply want every player to put the effort in and for the manager to tactically set us up with an eye to winning the game

If that means we soak up pressure and end with 25-30% of possession but end up winning the game, then so be it
Personally couldn’t disagree with this more , watching an Everton team getting dominated every week , while the opposition plays all the football is the epitome of boredom.
If you produce a team that actually plays good attractive football to a decent standard you stand a far better chance of winning a trophy, in my opinion.
Even if you don’t win trophies at least you get to watch your team play entertaining football, trying to win a game not steal it,
As I keep repeating , football is meant to be an entertainment not a chore.
Different strokes in the end , I suppose.

My personal priority is for Everton to win

Always has been

The style is a nice to have, not a need to have for me. I support Everton and their success is the most important thing, regardless of how it's done

Sort out the results and THEN you can work on the style

That's what Moyes did and by the end of his time here we were a competitive team who played some very nice stuff on occasion, his last season especially

Right now it's about grinding out results and teaching the players what it means to win. They can ping nice passes around in a season or two once they've sorted out the bread and butter

Hard to win matches when you dont have the ball. Winning matches and being good/comfortable with the ball shouldn't be mutually exclusive.

As I say different strokes.
Much of the Moyes interregnum was spent watching boring football and winning nothing , it was about survival and nothing more, not something an Everton team should aspire to.
You can’t set up a team to play negative football to grind out results and then change it overnight when/ if you find success without radically changing recruitment and training methods.
Ultimately we expect different things from our team and it’s a gap of expectation that I fear cannot be bridged.

It's like being in Joe McCarthy's 1950s America in this thread. The Bedsheet FBI accusing anyone who supports the Everton manager of being a Kopite.

Almost 4/10 want to retain an ex-Liverpool manager when we're 14th in the table having lost a load of games.

I'd say you better make hay while the sun shines, because when we start ascending the table...which we will...your race is run.

Plenty of sides have won trophies playing a more defensive style

Chelsea in particular were masters at it

I'm fine with soaking up pressure and catching teams on the counter provided it works

Benitez's style isn't fun to watch but if we were winning games with it then I couldn't fault it

We aren't do, so he's rightly getting criticised for it

If only the two men who have any say on the matter (Uz/Mosh Man) didn't love the bloke eh Kevin? lol

I think we're in a good place at last. Got through the really tough run of fixtures, key players now coming back and the window about to open. things are looking up. I think a lot of Evertonians who were undecided on Benitez sat up after the result at Chelsea. We had a terrific result against Arsenal, but one game is never enough. But to send a bunch of kids to the home of the European champions and come away with a terrific point, an ordinary manager just doesn't do that. That's why the players are all puiing for him. I think 2022 is going to be a much better one than 2021 for Evertonians. We've come a long way since that slop served up by Ancelotti for the last six months of his 'reign'. Remember when we couldn't get the ball off relegated Sheffield United and countless others at Goodison Park. Not only that, they were playing through us like we weren't there.
In some ways Moshir must be pinching himself, he's probably better off about £80m than was looking likely to be the case. Six months ago he was looking at having to pay off Carlo (£30m), James (£10m) and no expectation of transfer wizardry such as Gray(£40m). But then Rafael Benitez walked into his life, and the rest is history.

Burnley will be a totally different game than Chelsea... I am not saying it will happen but those younger players might not suit playing against Burnley... the thing with Chelsea is they play football and also as we seen give the opposition a chance to play too.. Burnley on the other hand are all about physical aggression.. brute force and trying to win second balls etc.. younger players still learning could easily struggle in that type of game and being exposed to it might slow there progression.. what I am trying to say is they may of done well at Chelsea but they still need to be protected and managed against certain opposition.. we all know about Rondon and not being the answer however am maybe thinking he would be suited as a battering ram type against Burnley’s two physical centre halfs...

You're joking right mate, for such a big lad I've yet to see him bully any centre - halfs or even give one a difficult time.

It's all looking positive.
