The rumours about last years accounts sound grim. If true, another massive loss will be declared.

This raises tge question about what we will have to invest, and whether the player sales are over.
Isn’t the profit and sustainability performance based on a rolling 3 year period? We may well have made a loss last year, but if that loss is significantly less of a loss than the current “year 1” of the rolling three year period, the situation actually improves.

Obviously an ACTUAL profit would be nice but that’s only realistic this year because of the minimal player spend. We all know we’ve been varying levels of profligate over the last few years so losses were inevitable.

The selection of post-Southall keepers is very, very, very bad to be fair. He was still a long way behind Martyn.
We lost out badly on the young Shamrock Rovers keeper Gavin Bazunu who was hoovered up by City. Now the established no 1 for Ireland, and just awarded RTE young sportsperson of the year.

Where are our scouts??

Digne already has a club lined up.

Were not buying a new £17m LB without digne 100% leaving in January.
Well....we haven't bought him yet.

Would it really surprise anyone if we flub selling Digne, can't get the new boy in and are left scratching our heads at the end of the window?

What is currently "year 1" of a 3 year period was only an £11m loss though... so we're shafted

The loss being quoted is about £140m.

That is massive.
