I only thinks he’s still number 1 as he’s not really made a mistake for them yet, I think Henderson and Ramsdale are better all round keepers.

His performances for England have been amazing. Penalty saves, big saves in big moments in games. No other England keeper has come close to that for a long time. Would take a huge amount for either keeper to displace him now for Southgate knowing that it’s two tournaments on a row he’s turned up in as one of the best keeper sat the tournament. Why swap that for someone who might throw a Rob Green.

The rumours about last years accounts sound grim. If true, another massive loss will be declared.

This raises tge question about what we will have to invest, and whether the player sales are over.

Its all about cutting costs long term. Those losses, the best part of 30M of them will be Tosun, Walcott and Bolasie, players that didnt kick a ball for us last season. They already did cut costs in the summer to the tune of 40M or so (even accounting for incomings), and will do the same again next summer. With Digne leaving that will put us in an even better position even with a couple of others coming in.

Delph, Mina, number 10, Kenny and Tosun all departing in the summer or earlier will reduce costs by another 50M or so as well and that leaves us just about breaking even.

Richarlison will be sold giving us a healthy margin for bringing in a load of fresh new faces... and we already have a big sale done for 2023 in Moise Kean.

Dont worry... whats more important is we invest well now.

I think you are probably correct. The element we don’t really know is how the COVID losses are offset for the financial stability rules. That could have a big part to play in the calculation.
