Watching those whizzy cars is about as entertaining as watching golf.
I find all the buttoned-down computer nerds in the pits really annoying. The cars themselves are quite exciting. When they all go electric they won't make a vroom noise any more will they?
That'll be the make or break for F1, I predict.

I doubt F1 will go electric for a long time rather they'll probably move to more eco-friendly fuel until the technology matches up.

Formula-E simply isn't the same spectacle.

Formula 1 can't actually go electric until 2039 anyway as Formula E has exclusive rights until 2039. Of course an agreement could be reached between the 2 before then but can't see that happening any time soon.

I imagine F1 will continue to focus on making more efficient hybrids and look into more environmentally friendly fuel.

Everyone on the grid knows the score the way Max has been given free reign to do as he pleases.
The stewarding and race direction over the whole season stinks
To an extent, some may be worried about their own chances or even worse their own safety.

Max has been shown to be favoured by the race directors regardless of how dangerous he drives, which may eventually put some of them at real risk.

Majority of them have said recently that the rules need some clarification so they know where they stand in regards to racing

If there was a desire to engineer a WC win for Verstappen how does the incident on Lap 1 go the way it did?

I think the desire was for the race and the WC duel to end as a race. It was a panicked decision and the wrong decision but I think that's what it was. All season there has been numerous cries of "the fix is in" but if that was the case there's no way they'd have been left crossing their fingers hoping for something to happen in the closing laps on the final day.

There have been numerous opportunities to nudge the WC to Verstappen all through the season but there have been plenty of times where Hamilton has got the rub of the green and vice versa.

The tin-foil hat brigade is doing more to sour it for me than any number of iffy race control / FIA decisions. It wasn't Massi who sent Hamilton down the escape road in Azerbaijan and it wasn't anyone from the FIA who kept Hamilton out on Intermediates in Hungary.

They've given Liberty what they've wanted though and the Netflix series should be good and at the end of the day isn't that what we all want?

The tin-foil hat

Give over! It's nothing to do with tin hats, the level of stewarding has been appalling, there for all to see. Max brake tested Lewis just the last race, something that is supposed to be a massive no no. You would think worthy of at least a stop and go? nah 10 seconds as any more and we wouldn't be coming into the last race all tied. Then Sunday's decision absolutely shocking, want a race red flag it and have a standing start with 5 laps to go. Max probably still wins that as on softs the RB was a better car and the fact he is willing to be the last of the late brakers, but it would have been relatively fair.

If there had only been two cars between Max and Lewis and they let them race the last lap then that might have also been fair, Max would have overtaken the two by the straights and would have probably been on Lewis' tail for the twisty section, that would have had some drama at least, it wasn't a race at the end because it never could be given the performance differential.

Think the biggest dent in F1s reputation is the quality of some the drivers currently clogging up the track. So many incidents this season caused by drivers who lack the fundamentals.
Honestly believe thete are some on here who would be a better bet.

Pretty sure Mazepin won his F1 contract in a raffle.
