Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

FERGUSON'S FIRST DAY

With just one day until Ferguson takes charge on their away trip to Brentford, we caught a glimpse of Norwich a training and Ferguson was putting the players through their paces.

Matt Johnston is on loan from Newcastle and the 21 year old Striker has netted five times this season in 19 appearances. He is good in the air and Ferguson will be looking to get more out of him.

Ferguson is reunited with right back Joe Jamieson who spent a season on loan at Fylde in 2029/30. The defender was signed by Norwich for £5.25M last season.

Captain Joel Latibeaudiere who is a 33 year old Centre Back has excellent leadership qualities and has a wealth of Premiership experience playing for Blackburn and Southampton.

It will be interesting to see how Ferguson puts his mark on the team and how he will incorporate his own vision into this Norwich side.

I always thought it would end with the CL in the Coasters trophy cabinet.

It's very unsettling. You can't even drive your car in town there. They've pedestrianised the city centre. It's just not right.

Ferguson leaving Fylde was the darkest day for Fylde and Ferguson. He didn't want to go but could not work under Kevin Ward any longer. Losing Jones a day before the window and then Ward pocketing over £2M from the transfer is criminal. That money won't be seen again.

Ferguson wanted Fylde to be playing Premier League football, it was his ultimate goal. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the current manager and how his relationship with Ward pans out. Ward should be under immense pressure to step down now though.

It was the darkest moment on this thread. A real punch in the guts. Ward showing no regard for the club and fans. Jones going showed a lack of ambition. We had a decent core of players and it was criminal to see Ward asset stripping like the carpet bagger we knew he was all along.

Ferguson has already stopped the rot at Norwich. I predict that he'll be fighting for a spot in the premier league through the playoffs. Fylde have lost out big time.
