Just feel so sorry for him. Must have been such a rough 2 years in a new country not being able to play. Sure you could say "but he's well paid" but he could also barely even walk which isn't just a hindrance to playing football.

So you were expecting him to come in with not one start in two years and two major injuries and dominate that midfield? Lad needs nursing back if he is going to ever offer anything. Maybe the injuries have finished him but writing him off after one game is also absurd given he hasn't had many minutes in two seasons.

I do feel some sympathy for Gbamin, having that two injuries. And you're right, I don't get how the club is dealing with him. But he could've been staying around because nobody is interested. Not sure how u23 works, whether he can play for u23 to get himself up to speed and then get a loan somewhere to rebuild his career.

There is something we can agreed on - he can't run anymore and I think he should be loaned/sold to somewhere. but I don't think many clubs will be interested.
