Doucoure in the midfield and that capitulation doesn't happen today.

Thats how paper thin our squad is.

Benitez is at fault today (along with some of our players). We shouldn't be conceding 5 at home to anybody let alone Watford.

The overlying issues are not his doing obviously. The problems will ramp up now though, as you said we have a paper thin squad that isn't even that good at full strength.

2-5 at home to Watford is not the fault of Steve Walsh spending money on Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun. It is the current manager that has responsibility, which is the reason he gets paid handsomely.

Are you a kopite? Not calling you one, asking you if you are. But you are admonishing benitez of all blame.

How can Jones of this blame be on benitez? He insisted on rondon who has played the last 6/7 games and trained for months. He is now as match fit as he ever will be. The defence is arguably the same as last season.

Our midfield was missing doucoure but davies played regularly last season as well. Rodriguez was a big miss today as he can actually create things. Which is a benitez choice.

Team isn't much worse, if at all, than what ancelotti had to deal with at times last season and he never conceded 5 at home to newly promoted teams, unless I am mistaken?

You have thrown out the fact we lost 5:1 to man city away last season previously as an argument against Ancelotti. That's nowhere near like conceding 5 at home to Watford.

It's on Benitez to a degree, but people have forgotten in a hurry just how abysmal we were under Ancelotti at home.

Remember Fulham? Josh Maja helping himself to two goals, completely abject 2-0 loss? Same sort of performance.

The consistent feature in this is the players. They are terrible. Actual professional cowards who put in these performances over and over again.

You can criticise Benitez for facets of the performance - set pieces and substitutions, totally on him. But it's so, so much deeper than that.
