When they try to play it out at the back they always give away goals, they have done it 3-4 times under Ole. he and his backroom staff are all novices and almost 4 seasons still no style of play, you watch them and its a mish mash of patterns of play which shows bad coaching.

They press for about 10-15 mins then stop, they try to play out from the back like Klopp and Pep's team and are laughably bad at it then resort to DDG booting the ball up field, they play a 433 and it doesn't work them go back to 4231.

Maguire, AWB, Lingaard and DDG are awful with the ball at their feet, why is Ole having them playing out from the back, they buy a ultra fast high line defender then match him with a CB who has no pace, slow on the turn, their recruitment is abysmal, Ronaldo barely tracks back, Pogba and Fernandes in the same midfield hate running back, both do not work hard enough, you can only play 1 at a time, OGS has to drop one of them.

They could be a mauling next weekend and it could be the end of OGS, they really need a result next week, could be 3 losses in a row in the PL and the pressure will be on OGS.

United's record against Liverpool has generally been very good hasn't it? I've always felt Liverpool have a bit of an inferiority complex there. Massive game for OGS. This might sound bizarre, but Liverpool may do better losing to them as it will keep OGS in a job I'm not sure he's qualified for. A defeat and he goes, but they get a proper manager in, who has every chance of overtaking Liverpool into 3rd. Bit of a catch 22 really.

They are miles away from the top 3 sides who all have top tier managers, only one who could be on par with them is Conte, sadly for United he never stays long at a club, they need someone long-term, they really should go all out and get Rodgers, he's done work at two big clubs with big pressure and he's won things at Celtic and Leicester, he's also good with young players something United pride themselves on, he's mid 40's now so has longevity.

Im nor sure Rodgers is the answer for United we need something new and different though , the Glazers i think would be reluctant to get rid of OGS because he is not going to tell them the real truth about the club the truth being they the parasites are the biggest problem , but if we keep having poor results then push will make them act , i hear Southgate as been mentioned too not sure about him either tbh

Essentially they want the new Ferguson to take them on for the next 20-30 years.

Pretty much the same as every other club I'm the league.

They have an even more acute cluelessness about how to judge a new manager than we did after Moyes left.

Ferguson was there for a generation. Even those who remembered the pre-Ferguson era had their memories of what being managed by someone else felt like addled by time. This is also an entirely different age, with different pressures and expectations.

Who knows how you move on from that as a football supporter. Unless your new boss hits gold immediately, how long do you give them?

Like you say, everyone wants the dynasty Ferguson was able to bring - but it's just not going to happen.

I think that they need to remember the mediocre success they were having before Ferguson too. Look at someone who had a big success in Europe from a "lesser" league or "lesser" team from an established one and see if they're a fit. After Ferguson, there was potentially Mourinho who fit that category.

Struggling to think of any others. Unai Emery? He struggled with Arsenal in this league. Actually probably Simeone would fit that profile and I imagine if he became free, OGS wouldn't last an instant longer.

Anyway, long may they flounder and hopefully we can take advantage if we get our front line back and reinforce the squad.

The majority of fans are not convinced by sure they love him as player and yes hi decent guy , but most can see he is not up being Manchester United manager its a real problem because can anybody get the best out of theses players maybe Zidane or Conte but they are short term i think , we are looking for a new Fergie unfortunately thats not going to happen

I genuinely believe united have a title winning team right now but have a relegation candidate manager in charge. Ronaldo alone wins you the league if the rest of the side is set up correctly and pogba can be world class if played on his best position.

Bring Conte in tomorrow and the title is won , just strikes me as odd that the club are happy to keep someone on charge who is clearly the problem. Why go all out for Ronaldo if you aren't going to take advantage of having him?

Yeah its very strange set up tbh not sure we have title winning team but i think the correct decisions and tactics have to sorted out i wonder who actually bought and wanted Ronaldo was it OGS os was it the glazers trying to cosy up to the fans , the share price went by 100 million the day after he re-signed , Van de Beek who bought him the kid as hardly played , it all seems a bit disorganised at the moment , the next few games are very tough ones so something as got to give i think
