Must win and confident Everton will do the business. Norwich are poor and will be confirmed relegated long before the season ends. Would be a disaster to lose even with key players missing

Who’s going to win the Rafites or the anti-Rafites? It’s either a great start to the season or a complete shambles, there can be no in between.

Given the injury updates this is how I expect to see them line up.

Pickford
Holgate Mina Keane Digne
Doucoure Allan
Townsend Iwobi Gray
Rondon

Begovic Lonergan Kenny Godfrey Branthwaite Davies Gordon Simms Dobbin

Personally I think they should promote another youth teamer but I imagine they might even just go with 8 subs. That team should have more than enough to beat Norwich and surely its time for Simms to get a cameo even if its just 15-20 minutes.
Godfrey has been selected ahead of Holgate so i expect Godfrey to start. Even though Godfrey has not been at his best this season so far

He also looks badly off the pace at the minute. If I was picking him as a starter I'd have him at CB instead of Keane. With Mina back he won't get bullied in the air. I just think neither Kenny or Godfrey covered themselves in glory at RB so it's Holgates turn now. He did ok on Tuesday at CB and although I'm not a fan of moving all other the place I think he might be worth a go at RB. Kenny struggled against Championship players so has pretty much sealed his own fate. As I say if Godfrey plays it needs to be CB and alongside Mina so his aerial weaknesses aren't so easily exposed.

I hope we win.... but and it's a big butt that cannot lie, Norwich are nailed on to get their first win of the season against us
