He said in his pre-QPR interview that Simms just wasn't fit.

He's only had like 5 training sessions as of now, maybe 6 cause his first was last Thursday.

He's been out for nearly 6 months with a serious injury. Gonna need time.

I would rather Simms have his growing pains (hopefully sneaking a goal) or even toss Gray or Iwobi up top until we get healthy as at least they can move about the pitch. If Ron was fit okay, but there is absolutely no reason to play him as he is now. Whether he is able to get back to EPL shape is what concerns me.

This is his 3rd start so maybe we will get lucky. Personally I think he's been hung out to dry but he should have been in better shape than he is.

And I'm not sure how he fits in to the counter attacking style when I read he is like for like for DCL , dcl would be quicker than rondon walking on his hands

I'm prepared to give him more time but only from the bench at this time. It would for instance have been much more sensible to have had Gray starting the QPR game leaving Romdom in hand should we be struggling and needing to change our approach.
