They didn't look like that today though did they?Never known a team who’s core so often just before or after half time. They always get a goal just when they look like they’re flagging a bit.

Saturday 3pm and some of you choose to watch them. Wow.
Is it? I thought the FA defined it as, 'Any goal that is not scored from a dead ball'. I will have to let them know that they're not progressive enough.Did you actually read the last sentence? It isn't about the ball. It is about the players.

The FA? You tell me.Is it? I thought the FA defined it as, 'Any goal that is not scored from a dead ball'.

First off Palace aren't one of the worst teams unless you're stretching that definition to anyone who isn't top half. Second getting in 0-0 may not be the best but they're controlling it and creating plenty. The goal was coming.Well getting to half time 0-0 at home agaisnt one of the worst teams in the league isn’t exactly flying is it.
Yes the FA - those who defined the rules of the game and have countless years experience of it. That’s their definition. The FA? You tell me.
Again I'm looking at it from a useful statistical information perspective. And people who have devoted their time to it say the most useful way to look at set pieces is the way I'm telling you.
Now if you don't like stats then define it however you see fit. But then don't come back in 6 months talking about how we've conceded too many from set plays because you've made the decision already that you're not interested in actually knowing whether that is true.
Probably because I'm not talking about the lawsYes the FA - those who defined the rules of the game and have countless years experience of it. That’s their definition.
So, you’re saying their perspective is less than statistian? I’m just confused as you say it’s where the players are stood where the law makers say otherwise.
But isn’t that what the game is based on? Or is it fine to make arbitrary decisions without the context of the actual game and precedent set?Probably because I'm not talking about the laws
As far as understanding and trying to make sense of what is happening yeah it's completely fine. But isn’t that what the game is based on? Or is it fine to make arbitrary decisions without the context of the actual game and precedent set?
