Decent for 80 million is terrible , it's why i put up the English definition of decent with a sarcastic emoji smile, seems sarcasm goes over your head my good friend.

You pay 80 million a world record fee for a defender you'd want someone far better than decent.

He's slow, terrible with the ball and his mobility makes him look like he turns like a tugboat, he has concentration brainfarts consistently.

But that's what you get when you pay for decent, decent is nothing special mate, it's average.

You kopites dont do sarcasm, you cant see any good in any player unless they play for you lot and other fans are not allowed an opinion.

Can't you, along with them lot not have any comment about anything without mentioning numbers.

"Did you see that the match between Gateshead & Wrexham was called off, I remember when us, the 20 times champions, had a game called off"

"Yes darling, sausage and mash would be great for me, a fan of a club that has won the league 20 times"

Seriously, could you not just have commented on the game itself and leave it at that. It is always a points scoring exercise.
Indeed the game was ok for us for the 1st half hour then after the sending off we lost our balance and shape , OGS made some subs maybe some of them wrong choices i would have put greenwood on for sheer pace up front , in the end it was terrible mistake and sometimes that happens , it is 1 game so lets move on West Ham away Sunday on the tough one , as for the 30 year mob and the resident Ever optimist and his glee about Manchester United losing it only goes to show obsessed they still are with United

If they sold Pogba (flatters to deceive and seems a bit of a bell) and bought Goretzka or someone of that ilk, then swapped the manager for Simeone or Conte then you're talking probable title favourites. I still think Maguires a yard dog as well but maybe that's the price-tag hanging over him.

You had 2 shots to 11 before the sending off, Wagner knows that you are not a press resistant team and went right for you, it was the same with the Southampton game, another team who press that showed your major deficiency of not being able to handle a team who press your midfield.

3 and half seasons under Ole and he still has no tactical know how or ability to coach a team to handle a press.

Amazing how average you look in Europe when the PGMOL boys in black are not officiating your games, your game was crying out for greater Manchester residing or born Refs of Taylor, Attwell, Coote, Tierney, Mason, Kavanagh and Fergie's favourite Leeds boy Atkinson to help you out.

Thursday night football for you again.

I really like him. Has the occasional mare, but overall VERY good. £80 mil is his issue

Lol why have you blue scarf on la i dont know , your team the victims had a few players missing last season and lost about 10 games in a miserable defence of your first title for 30 long desperate years

This, If he had signed for £35-50m range nobody would say anything and he would look a decent player who just had the odd lapse (Rio Ferdinand was like that tbf) but £80m and you would be expecting a VVD/Khoulibaly type for that sort of money and he is way off that standard.

Personally, he is not WAY off the standard, I genuinely think he is the second best CB in the prem, he offers more bite than VVD also. he is just a bit clumsy at times.

He's no where near world class though my good friend, blinded by the euros when England played on the 18 yard line with 2 defensive midfielders in front of him who got nose bleeds if they crossed the halfway line, Keane would look good in that set up mate.

For £80 million you expect, pace, reading of the game, ball playing ability and an ability to not just be a low block defender which is the easiest system to be a CB in my good friend, high up the pitch being made to a be front foot high line defender he looks shockingly bad and exposed like he would in the modern day top teams play today, United is his ceiling, they have a manager who has not got a clue about modern trends, tactics or coaching in today's football.

He is a very good Premier League CB, has weaknesses but name me a player who doesn't have weaknesses and/or has games where they are dominated.

I have never got the 'he cost this amount of money so he must be at least this amount of quality or have these particular skills'. He did not command that fee just because of his talent, there are other factors as such as timing, time left on contract, English, club in the same league (A team is never going to let a big player go to a team in the same league for peanuts), selling team knowing that the buying team are desperate to buy that player or need a player in that area.
