ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

A couple of BBC related niggles from me.
Firstly the series on the birth and history of the Premier League on BBC 2. You'd be guilty for thinking its a celebration of the league winners over the past 30 or so years in which case why were the RS in the first frames with the gurner in chief celebrating?
Secondly my guilty pleasure is Pointless while I'm having my tea. I choked the other day when they had a topic "Liverpool's Long Wait" Asking questions on the PL between 1990 and 2020.

It's like repeated propaganda eventually comes to be regarded as fact by the general population. Sometimes it seems that's actually the agenda when it comes to the positioning and coverage of LFC, whether its the actual football media or in a more general sense.

It's why sometimes I think let the whole Super League go ahead. They would be a distinctly average outfit in it, in a straight money war, all they turn into is sentimental mid-table fodder.

I'd actually enjoy watching the media try, and fail, to reconcile that scenario with their constant over-hyping and pandering to that club.

I'm in total agreement with your second paragraph.
The programme itself was a bit of an eye opener for me insofar I had forgotten how absolute shoite the game had become. Also how quickly our name was ceased to be mentioned referring to the big five. In fact I don't think we were called by our name. It was "the two Liverpool clubs, Utd, Spurs and Arsenal." After a few minutes it was "Liverpool, Utd and the two North London clubs.
