My view is he wasn't the worst option for next manager and I understood the appointment. I neither deify or villify him - all I've done is waited to see what he can do as Everton manager, which is what I would have done for any new manager.

Can’t really fault him so far. He obviously is a quality manager and is thus far getting as much from the players at his disposal as anyone else could.
