It's not arrogance, he's just not arsed about it...and no manager would be about the LC when he's down a player since he arrived and the club haven't backed him so far with transfer cash.

He knows he'll be judged by his employers by PL position.

Any manager who thinks its acceptable to disrespect a cup competition isn't fit to manage us. Whatever happens, this selection was disgraceful and we deserve nothing from the match.
