Everton Summer transfers 2021

Woah Woah I was defending Gray when 95% of fans on here were crying and using the signing as a stick to beat the new manager with.

Gray has big potential and had experience in the PL/a title winning side so £1.5 million was a solid deal for us same as Townie on a free transfer replacing Benard.

Signing kids who aint getting into the starting 11 of mediocre sides such as Sheff Utd and Rangers is risky business for a club with supposed aims of competing in the top 10 and pushing for Europe.
Wasn't having a dig mate honestly, it's very understandable that we have to go for these type signings now as regards FFP, if the scouting is good I'm all for it, Moyes had plenty of punts like this.

I wasn't wrong - he was on trial pre-2019. Years ago. And rejected.

Means absolutely nothing. The interest now is blatantly because of his goal.

Wow, still pulling yourself further onto the blade.

Player has trial at club, is linked to club, then scores against club in May but yes we now want him in August only because of the last event.

lol

Yeah like all of those things happened in quick succession.

We didn't think about him after his trial, as he was rejected. Our name was thrown in lazily in articles laughably linking him to Bayern Munich. He then scores and we're interested. That's the process here. It's too much of a coincidence.

If it was such a coincidence we wouldn’t have waited till the end of the window to look at him again you fanny.

We're doing our business late. Clearly. There'll be 3-4 on deadline day, including loans.

And all the insult does is show you're rattled for some reason.

As long as one or two ready made first team signings are incoming then I have no issue with gambling on Jebbison.

We've done it before. Vlasic as stated - that was bloody ridiculous. In no way should one performance dictate a signing; there should be a raft of info and research behind every signing, and if they're not available you go down the list to find similar.

Hell, we did it with Fellaini famously - a last minute massive punt as we had money and he played well against Liverpool. It's just lazy - even if it comes off like it did with him, it's just blind luck. It indicates no serious system is in place.

With a DoF, you'd have hoped these amateur hour things were done, but no, we're even worse with it.

The same Vlasic and Fellaini we made good profits on?

Agree with this mate although im dubious that will be the case with our supposed financial restrictions this summer.

In an ideal world we sign these types of younger players and loan them out like the top clubs do to develop.
