With the decision not to resign Messi and the Presidents admission that they have had to make significant borrowings as well as their wages to turnover ratio, it could be a bit of a firesale there.

Exactly right. The state of the finances at Barca means anybody on their playing staff are fair game, a very unusual situation as its normally the other way round, but considering the amount of cash they're in debt they deserve it.
