To be fair a certain situation arose beyond the clubs control that has reduced the midfield options.

Also, getting pinged has taken another midfielder and a striker.

With DCL missing, Simms missing, Kean missing, Gbamin missing and Sigurdsson missing, that is an awful lot to cover.

DCL being missing and no one to cover is my point, Simms hasn’t been a first teaser and it wouldn’t be right to rely on him without him being brought through properly. Kean hasn’t been here and by all accounts doesn’t want to be here, Gbamin is our third midfielder but we drop off considerably outside those three and let us be honest Sigurdsson not playing is a bonus.
