Face it lids we are sunk! we have kopite coach and are selling the most skillful player in the squad (let alone valdermorts issues) and we are buying players that cant get a contract anywhere else for buttons. We aren't buying a new RB because we think we'll get another year out of Seamus and JJ, how long before Richy, DCL, Digne, Mina, Allan, Doucoure, Godfrey and Pickford's agents start looking for new employers with some ambition? How many games into the season will we be when we start getting excited at Townsend coming in off the bench?

yeah, apparently the club saying that's a huge overreaction and they made it clear that it was down to the new manager just thinking he wasn't training right.

Anyway, he's a decent player, but £25m is a lot to spend considering as it stands priority area has to be a RB

£20m would be great value, £25m is just not where we need to invest, right now.

Nunes did not start the last season as a regular in the side, but has become increasingly important as the season progressed. Recently he started the Portuguese super cup and by the sounds of it had a real good match with one assist credited to him. Sporting fans not too happy to lose him which is always a good sign...

I double checked and looks like he was still a sub in 6 or 7 of the last 9 league games.

No idea on the cup match...

Amorim looks a top coach in the making and its a shame we didnt hire him instead of Benitez.

Id be concerned that hes not become a regular starter and just has a role similar to Davies for us.

Sounds a bit too much lile a Portugese,, err,, Gnomes to me, from back when Gomes was Gomesh

…I like the look of Leao but from what I’ve read, he’s not keen on joining us.

Maybe the club have tried. But may worth ask for season long loan for Dalot at untied with an option to buy next summer. Young player, fast can also play left back if needed. That could help with FFP. And then use what money we can spend on a winger.

We need a right back(Dumfries?), winger and midfielder(Nunes?). To do that we will have to shift as many of these from the wage bill as possible James, Kenny, Gomes, Holgate, Iwobi. Who knows with a certain Icelander...
