I've come around to the idea of Townsend as a squad filler. If we were to get McNeil in and Townsend as backup then I think that's good business. If we get more wingers than that then surely Richarlison is leaving?

Although I was kind of hoping that Richarlison would only miss 1 game. Olympics finishes on 7 August if Brazil go all the way. Then I'm guessing he gets a week off, so he could be available for 21 August?

I'd be disappointed if he misses more than 2 games anyway.

No way he comes back after the copa then olympics and doesn’t get eased back in. Wouldn’t expect to be seeing him until September in the starting line up.

Well I presume fingers crossed him and Townsend are replacing Bernard & iwobi on the bench

We still need a quality RW who’s first choice IMO. Injuries and being forced to play gray and Townsend for 20plus games, will damage our season unfortunately

Gbamin will probably last about 5 games before he breaks down again, and Allan isn’t up to it. We will be seeing another 20+ games of Andre Gomes if we don’t sign at least one midfielder.
