Crypto currency (IF banned from CA)

Wow, the guy that founded Dogecoin is not a fan of crypto at all.

Wow. Leave this thread for a few hours and everything goes off!

I do think it’s a bad sign when you get people that are so defensive over an investment. If you believe in the inherent value of something you shouldn’t really care about what some random people on a forum think.

Oh you've done a quick google have you and now you know everything about it. The reality is you know very little, read one article and think you are an expert. Dunning Kruger springs to mind.

Thanks for taking my quotes out of context, I suggest you go through all the rest of my posts where I tell people not to trade as it is damaging for their health and relationships.

Ashamed of myself? I first posted about HEX on this site when it was less than $0.01c, it is now $0.15. I was here trying to help people stop trading and invest in the first legitimate cryptocurrency I have seen since I was buying bitcoin in 2012. There is no referral program involved, I gain nothing by doing it.
This is pretty disingenuous. Of course you benefit by getting other people to buy into it. The nature of Hex specifically seems to benefit the people that got in earlier and they make more money by getting more people in driving up the price. There may not be a specific referral program but come on

Likely doing this on a few different sites also

This is exactly the same as literally any other investment. The people who have amazon stock benefit from new people coming in.

To say that HEX is unique in this is disingenuous

The entire thing is a greater fool gambit.

There's no tangible value to any of it and none of them are actually functioning as a currency, just commodity bubbles.

Well, people who own AMZN also benefit from what happens to AMZN, because there is an underlying asset being monetized. That's not to say that animal spirits don't influence price, because they can hold significant sway, but at least there is an asset. With crypto there is no asset that holds any fundamental value because it performs no fundamental function (or nothing more than just the digital ledger, or whatever the technology may be). There is a scarcity, however, and there are animal spirits at play.

So you're correct, HEX isn't unique. But it's nothing like trading AMZN, and it's not even close to buying and selling commodity futures because it's not a commodity. It's just instead like buying gold coins you see advertised on the 24 news channels, except these are digital gold coins.
