Hey there la we have spent a few quid but its nothing to with the parasite Glazers , anyway we make a lot of money maybe DCL could be next , what do you think about then la with your new popular Rafael in charge

...their own pocket, or 'in' as debt or potential debt on the club's books
It's debt.
But currently they can service the debt therefore it is sustainable.
However, it is still debt. They currently have £443 million of debt on the books.
Which makes a nonsense of the statement 'they are spending the money they have earned'
No they are not. They are borrowing it from a bank and paying a very high amount of interest
to service that debt. However, I really don't know how any United fan can say that the Glazers
haven't supported their managers in the transfer market as they most certainly have.

I'm sure he didn't mean it.

This is what I'm worried about with Everton, Moshiri throwing money at transfer windows but for little adittions to the squad quality but there is debt added to the books.
United seem to be able to.cover that though.

Exactly so.
1) He takes 'cash spent, lent, loan guarantees, debt write offs' whatever and converts it into shares...35,000 @ £3000 becomes 100,000 say...well who knows - basically as much as he can Con the next fool* to pay
Or
2) Having built the ground etc and made a mint on collateral development 'sells' it back to this mydtery man who...allegedly...'gifted' him the original stake via the Arsenal shares...which will possibly pass to the mystery man's nephew...in the manner of René denying any knowledge of the resistance...of who I know nothing.
Or
3) It all turns to custard and - being a billionaire accountant who didn't get where he was without knowing how to walk away Scott free. Ostensible Moshiri debt become over night...voila...Club debt.
And Moshiri is in the wind like Keyser Soze
