I have similar rivalries with sports teams I follow here in the States, and I couldn't care less about those teams.

American rivalries are nothing like football rivalries.

As someone who has experienced both your rivalries are nothing.

Ours have far more history and regional tribalism behind them that just hasn't had enough time to develop in North America.
