I feel like I’m stuck between “he shouldn’t be our manager” and “he’s here now so what can we do?”

I won’t lie, I am very intrigued as to how this will turn out.

I reckon this will be a lot of people, me included.

…my take;

Do I think he should’ve been considered by the Everton Board for this appointment? Absolutely not.

Do I think he’s a good Manager? Yes.

Do I think he’ll be a good fit for Everton? Yes, I think he’ll be fine.

Am i content Benitez has been appointed? Certainly not.

He will need to go out of his way to show he loves the Blue - which isn't difficult to do.

The mob will die down if he wins and shows his appreciation of the fans.

I know all about this rivalry mate, I lived it all my life. Been there, seen it, got the t-shirt.

I know about the divisions - real and imagined. If I can accomodate this appointment then I dont see how others cant. It's uber-fandom to say it cant be tolerated. If this was Celtic and Rangers there'd be some substance to the reaction. But we're not.

This is getting hyped way beyond reality.
